The coast puts on its autumn face. Nights run longer, candy turns up after dark, and three fish only bite while the lanterns are out.

The Lantern Keeper

Errands, in the village square

A ghost with a lantern and a list. Five errands, easy to hard, across the six weeks. Finish the lot for a pumpkin sticker and a haunted glow on your bobber that stays after he leaves.

Maren the Witch

The seance, on the beach west of the pontoon

She shows you fish, then asks for them back in the order they came. Every round you clear banks candy and the rounds get longer. A run that pays sends her to rest for a while: half an hour after a short one, an hour after a deep one.

Where the candy comes from

• Beach chestsEvery chest carries candy on top of its coins while the season runs, rarer chests more. Auto Open counts.
• Seasonal fishThree fish bite only in the window. Landing one pays candy on the line, more for the rarer ones.
• WispsDrift up after dark anywhere on the map. Click one for candy, a rare one pays more.
• The haunted chestGoes hunting after dark, announced on the board. The biggest candy there is, and now and then it bites.
• The seanceSit with Maren. Every round cleared banks candy, and a deep run pays far more than a shallow one.
